Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.

Duties

  • Work with team members to design, develop, and test features that meet the business needs of our customers internal and external and exhibit features that include high scalability, availability and reliability.
  • Jump into various complex code-bases, understand them quickly, and develop features and bug fixes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to generate good software design and clean code efficiently and with few bugs.
  • Exhibit thoroughness in evaluating all aspects of a solution including: localization, licensing, scalability, memory management, bandwidth, latency, automated testing, security, and compliance.
  • Perform collaborative code reviews with other developers.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
  • Stay current with industry developments and new trends.
  • Recommend new technologies as components of a solution when appropriate.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • A portfolio showcasing your best work.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Applicable experience with React.js
  • Familiarity with a server-side language such as PHP, ASP.NET, etc…
  • Working knowledge of Rest APIs and how to write code to use them.
  • High level language (C/C++, Java, Perl, Ruby, Python) and database concepts (SQL) and general web technologies (HTML, XML, API)
  • .NET or a similar programming or scripting language
  • UI/UX Experience
  • Ability to stay organized and to manage multiple high priorities; strong attention to detail

Description

Purchasers process orders placed by the sales team, source products from distributors, and purchase items. They ensure orders are filled quickly, accurately, and affordably.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process orders promptly and efficiently, while maximizing profit and minimizing delivery time
  • Communicate order issues to customers and find a solution that fits their needs
  • Negotiate pricing and update costs in computer system
  • Keep backorders up-to-date and communicate any changes in ETAs to customers
  • Assist with answering phones and responding to quote/status/invoice requests during busy times
  • Pack up and ship out orders that are going overseas or require special shipping instructions
  • Bid on new opportunities posted to procurement portals
  • Search for new and alternative product sources
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships
  • Leverage technologies and tools to support and streamline work processes
  • Develop deep level of understanding of products/services DBISP, LLC offers
  • Record details of inquiries, issues, and actions taken
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 2 year college degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent projects from start to finish
  • Highly organized with strict attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to operate independently, stay on task, and cope in a highly-challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening and working well with a team
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet browsers, and other relevant software
  • Type 45 wpm with a high degree of accuracy and proficiency with 10 key
  • Understand and comply with company rules/regulations

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle basic customer inquiries, gathering all necessary information from internal business partners to communicate effectively back to customer.
  • Resolve service needs, questions and complaints by telephone or written correspondence by gathering, researching and analyzing information from internal business partners, and escalate unresolved issues to management as needed.
  • Contact customers when identifying availability issues and propose solutions to prevent customer dissatisfaction.
  • Collaborate with vendors on the customer ETA changes and proactively communicate with both internal teams and customer on solutions.
  • Communicate with assigned accounts regarding pricing, order entries and other issues as they arise.
  • Address issues impacting customer service and seek solutions.
  • Compute cost/price using a variety of criteria, such as inventory availability, competitive position, price validity, and other logistical considerations (freight, handling, staging, etc.).
  • Create quotes through our ERP system
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process, and measure effectiveness.
  • Communicate and clarify company policies to customers
  • Sort and deliver mail, small packages
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months customer service related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • College degree (preferably with a business and/or technical background)
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills required (Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred)
  • Highly organized with strict attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of a wide-range of IT and office products
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Lifting up to 55 lbs with or without accommodations
  • Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

  • Provides front-line technical assistance, training and support to teachers and students.
  • Installs-upgrades applications and system software, as required.
